Day 1 Reflection: Since i got into the hostel, i was shocked by the quality of it. It is not good but it is Fantastic. The beds, shelves and study tables are suitable for people like us. After resting in our hostel, we went for our briefing and went to the ADM Auditorium to listen to plenary Sessions. First, it was about the geography of earthquakes. He taught us how to predict certain earthquakes by analysing patterns, dead corals and more. Next, we listened to the IT for Animation talk. The professor taught us how animations are made, Stop Motion, 2d animation, 3d animation and how to convert a 2d image into a 3d image we see in the theatre today It was a great day.
Day 2: We had gone to the School of electrical and electric engineering and at electronic lab III. We then used the bread board to connect different wires, sensors together so that they all can function together. Up to day 3, we had used the bread board to finish our project which is to make a handheld device for speech impaired patients by initialising lights as "Yes" or "No". What we did was hooked up a force sensitive resistor and a potentiometer to vary the resistance so that the LED could light up accordingly. For another project, we need to create "smart" lamp that would turn off when there is light and turn on when there is no light. We just needed to hook up the light sensitive resistor to the transistor so to achieve the goal.
Day 3: We had a presentation by having a follow up of what we had done on Day 2.
Post-Camp reflection: I feel that after attending the camp, I have a more deep understanding of electronics and the behind-the-scenes look of electronics. I would never look at a piece of device ever again without thinking about the circuits, transmitters, transistors, LEDs all of those stuff that are operating inside of the device. It is like a whole new world beyond our imagination.
